We are seeing 3 plays at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Tonight's was the only one that was not by the bard, a touching and funny play called 'Bus Stop'. Next to me sat a very excited woman who told me she had just seen Edward James Olmos in the Festival gift shop. Hearing my accent, she told me that he was bigger than Princess Diana (odd comparison comparing an accomplished actor with someone famous for being famous). She'd never heard of Battlestar Galactica (or any TV shows he'd been in), but was in awe of his Oscars, she thought I must be too young to know about his film career. She went on to explain that she couldn't understand why I was in Oregon when she'd heard everything in Europe is just so amazing, especially the plays... as we were leaving she started telling the man who had sat behind her that she'd just seen Edward James Olmos...
