We managed to get away from Portland, if only for a weekend. We nearly didn't leave in time; an electrician turned up this morning, intending to complete the new room. Given that he did not give us any notice, and actually didn't have all the bits he needed, he agreed to come back, good job too, as the weekend was already planned & paid for.



Here is an evening picture of a statue in Lithia Park, Ashland, Oregon. Not sure if it is supposed to be headless, reminds me of the Simpson's episode concerning the statue of their city founder.
